We all hate pulling weeds, right?!

Weeds will seize any chance they get to move into your flower and mulch beds. These beds are meant to enhance the beauty of your home and landscape. But, if not maintained, your beds can become a real eyesore due to all of those unsightly weeds. That’s where our new add-on service comes into play!

Bed Maintenance Program:

Service Details: This service is ONLY available as an add-on for our mowing customers and will be performed bi-weekly or as needed throughout the mowing season. It includes spot spraying weeds in mulch beds AND in the cracks in your driveway/sidewalks. Pre-emergents may also be applied to help further prevent weeds.

Pricing: Based on the square footage of mulch beds + amount of driveways/sidewalks to spray. The average is typically between $8 and $12 every two weeks for properties with an average amount of beds but can be higher if you have very large beds. It will be billed biweekly throughout the mowing season an average of 17 times per year. ***There may be a one time surcharge on the first visit for beds that have not been regularly maintained requiring extra spraying and hand pulling of large weeds.

Details and Requirements: This service is only available as an add on to our WEEKLY and BI-WEEKLY MOWING SERVICE and is performed at the same time, as needed, and no more than every two weeks.

To be eligible for this service, you must:

  1. Maintain a thick layer of mulch (Wood Mulch, Stone, Pine Straw, Etc) to help reduce weeds.
  2. Have edging around your beds, whether it’s a natural edge or other like concrete edging. This is to prevent grass from growing into the beds from your lawn.
  3. Not have overcrowded beds with not enough space in between flowers, shrubs, etc for us to safely spray weeds without risk of damaging your plants. These areas will have to be hand-pulled at an additional cost.

Disclaimer: We are not able to treat areas that are overcrowded with too many flowers, plants, etc because we are not able to safely spray without risking damage to them. If you choose to have us treat those areas, we are not responsible for damaged plants. There are some weeds, such as Yellow Nutsedge, that require special products to get rid of as regular weed killer won’t kill them. This will be discussed before treatment is done and additional charges will apply. There may be a one time surcharge for the first treatment for beds that have not been maintained and that require additional spraying and possibly hand pulling dead weeds on the second visit. This program is designed to greatly reduce and control weeds during the mowing season and does not guarantee you will never have any weeds, as this is not a realistic expectation. Our crews will monitor your beds during mowing visits and treat weeds as needed.
