With the lawn care season fast approaching, we wanted to take some time to share our new service and a few big improvements that we have in store to improve our service and your experience with us in 2019. Our mission and our entire focus at Quiet Lawn is to deliver a cleaner, quieter, easier, and overall better experience than any other lawn service and at a competitive price. Below are 5 big improvements that will help us achieve that.
1. We are adding a weed control & organic-based fertilization service!
Many of you have requested it in the past and we have finally added organic-based lawn treatments to our services and will no longer refer this service out to other companies. We will be sending out another email about this service and all of the benefits within the next month. With this service, we will use natural fertilizers that will build and improve your soil, unlike the synthetic fertilizers used by most other companies, along with minimal amounts of chemicals to control weeds, insects, and diseases. We observed several lawns last year that these types of products were used on and the results were very good. Below are some of the benefits:
- Natural fertilizers that build and improve soil
- Weed control with minimal chemicals
- Insect & disease control available
- All electric spray unit unlike competitors using loud gas sprayers
- Priced very competitively (Price will remain the same for 95% of existing customers)
- Improved soil, healthier turf, deeper root system, improved drought tolerance, better drainage
- 7 applications per year
We will begin these treatments next week and the first application is one of the most important in order to greatly reduce weeds in the upcoming spring and summer. This application will kill existing weeds that have grown over the winter and also contains a pre-emergent that will help prevent weeds like Crabgrass from germinating in the spring. If this application is missed, it is very difficult to control once it’s established. If you have already been using our weed control and fertilization service via Turf Medic, you don’t need to do anything and your service will continue at the same price through us. If you are interested in adding this service, please contact us for a free quote. We look forward to making and keeping your lawn beautiful this year.
2. We are upgrading our software to improve communication, consistency, and to make doing business with us even easier!
We’re committed to using the best technology available in order to make our service more consistent, our communication better, and to make it as easy as possible for you to work with us. While the software we have been using to invoice, make estimates, and the schedule has been very good, we’ve decided to upgrade to one that offers even more benefits. With this new software, not only will you still have the convenience of easily paying invoices, but now we will be able to:
- Automatically communicate when your service has to be rescheduled or cancelled due to bad weather
- Send emails or texts when service has been completed
- Send notifications when lawn treatments will be applied
- Quickly get you estimates and pricing for our other services
- Provide more consistent scheduling and service
- Offer an easier payment system
This transition will take a month or so and will be fully implemented this spring.
3. We are making a commitment to always be available when you contact us!
It’s always been a priority of ours to respond to our clients promptly. Whether you have a question about an invoice, need to find out about a previous or future service, or whatever it may be, it’s important to us that you get the answer you need quickly. We’re making a commitment to always be available when you need us. When you call, text, or email, we will be there. If for some reason we miss you or you contact us outside business hours, we will respond within 1 business day. To help accomplish this, we are equipping each of our crews with a phone, tablet, and Bluetooth headset so that they can assist you while in the field. In addition, we will be hiring part time office help.
4. We are implementing quality control measures to ensure the best service!
Delivering
- A Well Trained Team- High quality work starts with having highly trained and competent team members. After completing our in depth training program, our team members are be able to offer quality and consistent results. In addition, we are constantly offering ongoing training, attending industry conferences and classes to keep up on the latest and best practices, and rewarding our team for expanding their knowledge.
- Checklists and Regular Quality Checks- We are adding checklists for our crews to complete on each service to ensure we’ve done a thorough job and nothing was missed. We’re also going to add regular quality checks to our schedules. In addition, our team is rewarded for excellent service.
- Client Feedback- Feedback from our clients is the best way for us to know if we are meeting and exceeding expectations. We will do this via quick online surveys after each service. If you experience an issue, please let us know so that we can correct it ASAP.
5. We will share with you what we are doing and why we are doing it!
Being someone in the lawn care and landscaping industry off and on since I was 11, I love learning new knowledge about what we do, why we do it, and how to do it better. I’ve always thought that people outside of the lawn and landscaping industry would find that information very boring (I’m sure many of you do). What has really surprised me is the amount of genuine interest I’ve had from clients that are hungry for knowledge about their lawn and landscape. To help share the knowledge that I have, that I am learning, and that of the top minds in our industry, I’m going to start sharing that information via email, short videos, our website blog, and our social media pages. We will discuss how and why we do what we do, when it needs to be done, share information about your turf and landscape health, talk about common problems and how to fix them, and various other topics. If you’re not already following us on Facebook and Instagram, please click the links below. We post new photos and information every week.
